“I started at PURESEOUL as a part-time Shop Assistant while at university—now I lead the Merchandising team.”
I started at PURESEOUL as a part-time Shop Assistant while at university, driven by a genuine love (and slight addiction) for Korean beauty. After graduating, I had the chance to explore different sides of the business, including a role as a Copywriting Assistant, where I learned how to communicate each product’s story and purpose.
Now, as a Product Specialist and Merchandising Team Lead, I curate the brands and products we love, lead the team that brings each launch to life, and help set new K-Beauty trends our customers discover both online and in-store.
My progression has shown me that when you bring curiosity and care to what you do, you’ll be rewarded and given more opportunities to grow and develop, both personally and professionally.

Recruitment FAQ
Due to the high volume of applicants, if you haven't been reached out to in 2 weeks, you have not been successful in this stage.
Retail
You need to have a passion for Korean skincare. While we do welcome candidates without previous retail backgrounds, your interpersonal skills should be superb!
Retail
You will be asked about your K-Beauty interest, and situational question to gage your interpersonal skills.
Warehouse
You will be asked to elaborate on your previous warehouse experiences.
Retail Roles:
- 10 minute phone screening with HR
- 15 to 20 mins in-person interview followed by 1 hour trial at the store
Warehouse Roles:
- 10 minute phone screening with HR
- 2 hour trial at the warehouse which would be for you to showcase your technical skills (eg: pump trucks, pallet jacks etc) and experience the warehouse environment to ensure it is the right fit!
HQ Roles:
- 10 minute phone screening with HR
- 30 minute zoom interview with head of the department
- 2 hour in-person interview at our HQ with the senior leadership team
