World Book Day Activation Promotion Conditions

Truck Activation Dates: Thursday 5 March & Friday 6 March 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Dinto x PURESEOUL World Book Day Activation (the “Activation”). By attending or participating, you agree to be bound by the following terms.

1. Event Times

• 10:00 – 17:00: Open to the public.
• Approximate experience duration: 3–5 minutes per participant.

A maximum of 1,000 free gift units will be available per day. Gifts are available strictly on a first-come, first-served basis and while stocks last.

2. Eligibility & Entry Requirements

2.1. Participants must sign up for the PURESEOUL email newsletter in order to join the queue and take part in the Activation. Newsletter data is collected and managed by PURESEOUL in collaboration with Klaviyo and Loyalty Lion and processed in accordance with the applicable Privacy Policies.

2.2. Participants must bring a book in order to take part in the book swap element of the Activation.

2.3. Strictly one (1) entry, one (1) book swap, and one (1) free gift per person across the entire Activation (both dates combined).

2.4. Multiple participations, including but not limited to attempts using different email addresses, identities, or devices, are strictly prohibited. Any individual who has previously participated will be refused entry.

2.5. Staff reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to refuse entry or participation to any individual, without prior notice and without providing a reason.

3.1 Eligible Book Requirement

In order to participate in the book swap, participants must provide one (1) “Eligible Book”.
For the purposes of this Activation, an Eligible Book is defined as:

• A professionally published, bound book intended for general readership;
• Written in the English language;
• Fiction or non-fiction, including novels, short story collections, autobiographies, memoirs, and narrative non-fiction;
• Suitable for a general audience; and
• In good, lightly used condition (see Condition Standards below).
  
  

For the avoidance of doubt, the following are not considered Eligible Books:

• Children’s colouring books, activity books, educational workbooks, or learning materials;
• Picture books primarily composed of images with limited narrative text;
• Political, campaigning, or ideological texts;
• Adult-only, erotic, or obscene material;
• Magazines, periodicals, proof copies, uncorrected advance copies, or self-printed materials;
• Damaged, incomplete, or unsafe books.

3.2 Theme Alignment

The Activation celebrates World Book Day in collaboration with Dinto - a brand with a literary and fairytale-inspired theme. While books do not need to be strictly limited to traditional fairytales, PURESEOUL reserves the right to refuse any book that, in its sole discretion, does not align with the literary tone, brand values, or general theme of the Activation.

Final determination of thematic suitability rests solely with event staff.

4. Book Swap Process

4.1. In order to participate in the Activation and to be eligible for a free gift, participants must present one (1) Eligible Book, as defined in Section 3. All books are subject to inspection and acceptance at the sole discretion of staff.

4.2. If a book is rejected for failing to meet the Eligible Book requirements, the participant will not be permitted to participate in the book swap and will not be eligible to receive a free gift.

4.3. Upon acceptance of the Eligible Book, the participant must leave their book on the designated book swap cart or shelf and select one (1) replacement book from the books available at that time.

4.4. Replacement books are limited strictly to those physically available on the cart or shelf at the time of selection. Participants must make their selection during their allocated turn. Books may not be reserved, held, or exchanged at a later time.

4.5. Participants may not re-enter the queue to select an alternative book at a later time.

4.6. If a participant does not wish to select a replacement book from the available selection, they may elect to retain their original book and exit the queue. In such circumstances, the participant will not be eligible for a free gift and may not be permitted to rejoin the queue.

4.7. All book swaps are final. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the quality, content, or condition of any selected replacement book. 

5. Free Gift Selection

5.1. Free gifts are available exclusively to participants who have successfully presented an Eligible Book and completed the book swap process in accordance with Section 4.

5.2. Eligible participants may select one (1) Dinto product free of charge from (4) available options, subject to availability, on a first-come, first-served basis. If limited stock is available, gifts may be randomised and selected for you by event staff.

5.3. Each free product will be paired with a matching designated bookmark.

5.4. Products and bookmarks are strictly limited to one (1) per participant, are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and available while stocks last. No cash alternative will be offered.

6. 15% Discount Voucher

6.1. Each participant will receive one (1) 15% discount voucher upon exit, while stocks last.

6.2. The voucher:

• Is valid exclusively at PURESEOUL Carnaby Street Store.
• Is valid until 11 March (inclusive).
• Is single-use only.
• Is limited to one (1) voucher per person and one (1) voucher per transaction.
• Is non-transferable.
• Cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
• Cannot be used toward the purchase of Gift Cards.
• Cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts, offers, or Dinto promotional items.
• May be subject to additional product exclusions at the discretion of the promoter

6.3. If the original transaction is cancelled or items are returned, the discount will not be reinstated, refunded, or carried forward.

6.4. The promoter reserves the right to withdraw, suspend, amend, or terminate the voucher or these terms at any time without notice.

7. General

7.1. Participation is subject to capacity restrictions and queue management procedures.

7.2. PURESEOUL accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged vouchers.

7.3. By participating in the Activation, attendees agree to comply with all venue rules and reasonable instructions provided by staff.

7.4. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
